Food products identification laboratory

The food industry has expanded significantly, leading to the use of cheap and low-quality raw materials by some profit-seeking individuals. To address this issue, a laboratory has been established to utilize modern technologies and new biotechnology methods. Its main goal is to determine the authenticity of food products and uncover any contamination or fraud. Some of the  tests conducted in this laboratory include

Identification of the animal or vegetable protein used in foods like sausages and burgers

Determination of the type of animal meat or vegetable protein present in meat and meat products

Detection of the source (e.g., cow, sheep) and potential adulteration of milk and dairy products

Identification of cosmetics derived from pig sources

Detection of the use of beans instead of pistachios in food products

These tests are unique to Iran and are exclusively  conducted at this laboratory center
